Ronaldinho first gained attention from the media at the age of 13, where he scored all 23 goals in a 23-0 win against a local team. At the 1997 U-17 World Championsip in Egypt. He was identified as a rising star.

📷📷Ronaldinho began his career at Grêmio in 1998. He made his debut in the Copa Libertadores. On 20. June 1999 he made a headline performance against rivals Internacional. The 18 year old didn’t show any fear whilst he played against the 1994 World Cup winner captain Dunga. Ronaldinho embarrassed Dunga when he flicked the ball over him one time. Ronaldinho played well for Grêmio scoring 23 goals in 48 appearances and winning the inaugural Copa Sul-Minas.

In 2001, Ronaldinho was sold to the French club Paris Saint German on a 5 year deal. In his first few months in France he was

alternating between the bench and the starters role. He scored his first goal for the club on 13th of October in a 2-2 draw against Lyon. Ronaldinho played in France for two seasons before moving to Barcelona in 2003.

When David Beckham moved to Real Madrid in 2003, Manchester United were looking for a replacement. Manchester United were in the drivers seat to get Ronaldinho’s signature but then Barcelona joined the race of getting the Brazilian 21 year old. Barcelona ended up getting Ronaldinho after they outbid United in a €30 million deal.

Ronaldinho was at Barcelona for 5 seasons. He’s one of the biggest reasons why Barcelona changed. Barça was not at the place when he came but he completely turned it around after arriving. In his time playing for Barcelona he won many awards including the treble in the 2005-06 season. He also won the Ballon d’Or in 2005. He was at his height of his career while playing for Barça. In the 2007-08 season he was plagued with injuries, also his partying lifestyle and lack of dedication to training didn’t help his reputation and many people thought he was past his prime. In 2017, Ronaldinho was hired as an ambassador for the Spanish side.

In 2008, after declining a big money move to Manchester City, Ronaldinho moved to AC Milan to try to revive his career. He struggled in his first first season in Italy, the main reason being his fitness and lack of dedication to training again. His second season was much better, he was arguably Milan’s best player and was the Serie A assist leader. He played at the San Siro for 2 seasons.

After his 2 years in Italy he played for a number of different clubs including Querétaro in Mexico and Atlético Mineiro, Flamengo and Fluminense in his home country of Brazil. He didn’t play many games for the clubs but was decent all around. He played his last professional game in 2015 with Fluminense.

As a player, Ronaldinho has won everything. He won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002. He won the Ballon d’Or in 2005 and many more awards.

Ronaldinho has shown some amazing skills no one has seen before, he is a role model and his big smile makes everyone happy. He could’ve been one of the greatest players of all time if he’d taken better care of his self and not party as much as he did. An amazing player with one of the best personalities the football world has seen. He is Ronaldinho.
