Pierre-Emerick Emiliano François Aubameyang is a footballer born on 18 june 1989, he plays as a striker for English side Arsenal, and his biggest trademark is his blistering pace. He was born in the western French city of Laval, his mother, Margarita is French-born but has Spanish origins, his father, Pierre was born in the country of Gabon, in western Africa and was a professional footballer in Laval.

He has two older brothers named Willy- and Catalina Aubameyang, both of them have played an international football match for Gabon. All three brothers have also played for AC Milan in Italy, but only for the academy except Catalina who played three matches, one in the UEFA Cup, one in the UEFA Champions League and one as a starter in the Serie A.
Aubameyang joined AC Milan in 2008 and went out on loan three times to French sides, Nice, Monaco and Dijon, but only netted four goals in 33 Ligue 1 appearences. In January 2011, the striker was on the verge of another temporary move, this time to Saint-Etienne. The season was rough for him as heonly scored two goals in 14 games, but Christophe Galtier had faith in him and decided to get the Gabonese striker on a transfer. Aubameyang played another two seasons for Saint-Etienne, scoring thirty-five league goals in 73 games, almost a goal every second game. These amazing two seasons earned him a move to the German giants of Borussia Dortmund.

In 2013, Dortmund signed the Gabonese forward. Aubameyang had been a transfer target for Newcastle United in England, but Aubameyang decided to go to Germany instead.
In his first season for The Black and Yellows he scored sixteen goals in 48 games across all competitions. In his first game as a starter in the Bundesliga, he scored a hat-trick in a win over Augsburg. Dortmund finished the season in second place in the league but won the DFL-Supercup in 2014, winning Bayern Munich in the final.
Aubameyang´s second season ended much better for him as he played extraordinary, scoring twenty-five goals in 46 games. Dortmund played one of their worst season in history, being in relegation battle almost all season but they ended in 7th place in the league. They finished their terrible season by losing in the final of the DFB-Pokal against runners-ups in the league, VfL Wolfsburg.
The 2015-16 season was his best so far in his career as he set a new career high in goalscoring, netting 39 goals in 49 games across all competitions and he finished as second-top scorer of the league, behind Robert Lewandowski. Before the season started, Jurgen Klopp left the club and a new manager named Thomas Tuchel came in to replace him. Dortmund did qualify for the UEFA Europa League but lost in the quarter-finals against Liverpool. Aubameyang did get chosen in the UEFA Europa League squad of the season as he played really well scoring eight goals in the competition.
His 4th season went off to a great start, scoring a brace in the first Bundesliga game of the season against Mainz 05 in a 2-1 victory and played amazing in the Champions League, scoring in each of the first leg matches, but was left out of the squad in their 2nd game against Sporting CP due to an internal issue as he broke club rules. He flew to Milan instead of staying in Germany. Fans were expecting to see Aubameyang in the starting lineup against Hamburger SV and he put on a show, scoring four goals and providing one assist to the French youngster Ousmane Dembele in a 5-2 victory. The Gabonese striker scored his 100th goal for the Black and Yellow in a 2-2 draw against 1899 Hoffenheim on 16 December. Aubameyang finished the season as top goal-scorer with 31 goals and winning the DFB-Pokal.

His 5th and final season was pretty good for him, scoring 21 goals in 24 games in all competitions and earning him a record breaking move to Arsenal, joining former Dortmund teammate Mkhitaryan. It didn´t take Dortmund long to find a replacement for Aubameyang, signing Belgian striker from Chelsea, Michy Batshuayi.
After a good season with Dijon earlier in his career, Aubameyang was offered to play for Italy U19s but he turned it down. He did though play one game for France U21 in February 2009. Aubameyang was eligible to play for numerous national teams such as Italy, France, Spain and Gabon but he . decided he wanted to play for Gabon as his father once captained the tea, but he still maintains a good relationship with Spain because of his mother. Aubameyang is the top-scorer in history for Gabon, having scored 23 goals in 56 games for his country.
Aubameyang has won many awards as a footballer including African Footballer of the Year in 2015 and Bundesliga Player of the Year in 2015-16 season. He has won a few team honours such as winning the DFL-Supercup with Dortmund in 2014 and Coupe de la Ligue in 2012-13 season with Saint-Etienne.
