Michy Batshuayi

Batshuayi is a 24 year old, Belgian striker on a loan from Chelsea at Borussia Dortmund. He couldn’t earn his spot in the first team as he came on as a sub in 9 games. He was competing against Alvaro Morata.

In the transfer window in January, Chelsea bought the Frenchman Olivier Giroud. After that Batshuayi moved on a loan to Borussia Dortmund. It was like a circle, Arsenal bought Aubameyang from Dortmund, Chelsea bought Giroud from Arsenal and Dortmund got Batshuayi on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Batshuayi has been on fire as he scored three goals in his first two games for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Dortmund fans are loving the ‘’Batman’’ while some of the Chelsea fans are turning against Conte for making Batshuayi go and taking Giroud instead. Batshuayi keeps scoring, while Morata and Giroud are shooting blanks.

Michy Batshuayi started his career playing for Standard Liége and moved from there to Marseille. He played for Marseille for 2 years and then moved to Chelsea in 2016. He has also played for the under-21 team of Belgium and also the first team.

Many wonder if Batshuayi should have gotten a second chance at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea was linked to getting Peter Crouch and Andy Carrol instead of Mitchy but some argue that Batshuayi brought a good game into Chelsea. At first he was clumsy with bad touches but in the end he linked well with Hazard and Willian, bringing speed and creativity into the game.
