Updated: Jan 19, 2018

Hörður Björgvin Magnússon is born in Reykjavík Iceland. He began career within the youth academy of knattspyrnufélagið Fram in 1998 when he was only five years old.

He played his first game in the big league in 2010 where he played so well that the next season he was transferred to Juventus. After spending the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons as a overage player in the youth team he was promoted to the first team squad but shortly he was transferred again to Spezia and the on a loan to Cesena. There he played 50 games total in both teams.

On 13 July 2016, it was announced that Hörður had signed for Bristol City for an undisclosed fee, penning a three year deal. Hörður has played 36 games in the last two seasons but there was a time when he never got to play a game. He said in a interview on the October 4th in Iceland that he was pretty frustrated with his playing time and he didn’t know what was going through his coaches head because he had been playing well with the national team.
