Angel Gomes is a young prospect in modern Football. He is a 17 year old central attacking midfielder and he was born on 21st August, 2000. He started playing for the youth teams of Manchester United when he was 6 years old and he made his debut for the first team when he was 16 years old. Angel Gomes has played 22 games with the U-16, U-17 and U-18 England’s international teams and in those games he has scored 7 goals.
In the summer of 2017 Angel Gomes played in the U-17 World Cup with England. They got to the finals and were 2-0 down to Spain, but in the end of the game England won 5-2. Earlier that year, Angel Gomes won the European Championship with the U-17 England’s national team.
At the end of the season Angel Gomes was voted the youth player of the year which he deserved. He was outstanding in the U-18 and the U-23 teams and played one game in the Premier League with the top team of Manchester United by substituting Wayne Rooney.
