Andy Carroll is a striker who started his professional career at Newcastle in 2006. He started with going out on loan to Preston north end where he scored his first league goal. He started to be a regular in the starting lineup for Newcastle in 2008. In 2009 Newcastle played in the Championship and Carroll scored 17 goals in 34 appearances and helped them finish first in the league. In the coming seasons for Newcastle he scored 11 goals in 19 appearances.

Carroll signed for Liverpool on the last day of the deadline day in January 2011. Liverpool payed 35 million pounds and was the most expensive British footballer. He was bought to replace Fernando Torres who moved to Chelsea. But his debut wasn’t until March 2011 do to an injury. In his debut he scored two goals in a 3-0 win against Manchester City.
In 2012 Carroll went on loan to West ham for 2 million pounds as a one season loan. In June 2013 West ham bought Carroll for 15 million pounds. On 11 September 2007, Carroll made his international debut for the under-19 when they played against Belarus, Carroll scored one goal in a 4-0 win. Carroll was called to the under-20 is in 2009 for the match against Italy. But he was drawn from the squad to be replaced by Hal Robson-Kanu. He got his first call for the under-21s on 5 August 2009. He made his debut on 11 August 2009 against Netherlands coming on as a substitute. In his second game against Macedonia he scored 2 goals and assisted one in a 6-3 win.
Carroll had been playing good with Newcastle and was called up to the Englands senior team in a friendly against France on 17 November 2010. Carroll scored his first internatinal goal on 29 March 2011 in a friendly against Ghana. In 2012 Carroll was picked to play with England in the euros 2012. He opened the scoring for England with a header in there second group match against Sweden which they won 3-2.
