Early life:
André Morgan Rami Ayew was born on 17 December 1989 in Accra Ghana. Ayew started playing at young age in Ghana, his father was a professional football player who played for the France football club Marseille, his father Abedi “Pele” Ayew Helped André and Jordan Ayew to accomplish their dream to play professional football in the Premier League. Jordan Ayew is André’s brother and they both play for Swansea Fc.
Career:
Ayew began his career in Accra, Ghana playing for Nania where he made his first debut at age of 14. In 2005, Ayew signed to his father’s former club, Marseille, and spent two years in the youth academy before making his debut for the first team of Marseille in 2007 at age of 17. In 2008 he spent two seasons with Lorient and Ac Arles-Avignon and helped the team to promote in to Ligue 1 for the first time in the club’s history. In 2010 Ayew returned to his former club Marseille and became a very important player making over 200 appearances for the club, Ayew won Trophée des champions and Coupe de la Ligue with Marseille. On 10. June 2015, Swansea city signed André Ayew, his first goal for Swansea in his debut for the club in a 2-2 draw against Chealsea. In August 2015 Ayew was named Premier League Player of the Month. On 8 August 2016, Ayew signed for West Ham United for £20.5 million. Ayew also scored his first goal for his new club against Chealse, Ayew left West Ham in january 2018 having scored 12 goals in 50 games. On 31 January 2018, Ayew returned to his former club Swansea and joined his brother Jordan Ayew who also playes for the club, Ayew transfered for £20 million.
International Career:
Ayew represented Ghana at under-20 level and captained the team to victory at both the 2009 African Youth Championship and the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Ayew scored 3 goals and 2 assist at the African Youth Championship. In 2007 Ayew was called in to the first team, three years ater Ayew was selected for the team to represent Ghana in the 2010 World Cup, in the round of 16 Ayew assisted the game-winning goal scored by Asamoah Gyan winning USA, Ayew was rewarded Man of the Match by FIFA. Ayew missed the team’s quarter fianl deafet on penalties to Uruguay due to yellow cards. Two years later Ayew played for Ghana in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring against Mali and Tunisia, as the Black Stars (Ghana) finished in fourth place. In the 2014 Fifa World Cup Ayew scored in the teams opening match against USA deafed and also scored against Germany in 2-2 draw and Ghana was the only team that didn’t lose against Germany in 2014 World Cup.
