Swansea are in great form recently. Don’t write them off just yet...

They began the year off with a 2-0 defeat to Spurs and a draw against Wolves in the FA cup. Not the best start but what can you expect from Swansea this year. They had been dreadful for the first half of the season. Then they got a vital point away from home against Newcastle 1-1. Jordan Ayew got the Swans on top after 60 minuets of game time but after only eight minuets Joselu equalized for Newcastle. Then they won Wolves in the replay and got drawn against Notts County.

Next up was the terrifying attack of Liverpool. The reds controlled the game and had over 70% possession but with a great finish from the young center back Alfie Mawson. Swansea held on to the points and beat Liverpool 1-0. Great points for the swans in the relegation battle. Then they where back to their normal form with a 1-1 draw to Notts County. Then there tough games continued in January with a home game to Arsenal. Monreal scored the first goal of the game after about half an hour. Only one minuet later Sam Clucas leveled the game 1-1. That’s how it was going into the half. Then after a goal from Jordan Ayew and another one from Clucas they managed to beat Arsenal 3-1. Incredible from the swans, seven points from four games to begin the season but they have to do more to stay up this season since they are still 19th. However, what a run from Swansea.
