Arsene Wenger confirmed that Arsenal and Man Utd have agreed a swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexis Sanchez switching teams. Alexis contract will expire this summer and it‘s no secret Sanchez have been doing everything in his power to get away from Arsenal. Mkhitaryan also said in a interview 2009 that it is his dream to play for Arsenal which makes this transfer swap more likely, Wenger also stated that the wages will not be a problem.
The transfer swap will likely happen today according to Wenger which will be huge. If this happends today Mkhitaryan could make his debut against Crystal Palace with Arsenal and Alexis Sanchez against Burnley with Man Utd. Wenger was still cautious that the move could still not happen in time for the weekend.
“It can happen, it can as well not happen. It is as that stage, yes it is likely to happen. But any minute things can break down. That’s how the transfer market is. These things are never guaranteed.”
“Look, the problem was similar to what it is today. I only accept to let him go if somebody comes in instead of him,”added. “I would have let him go in the summer but it didn’t happen.” This what Wenger had to say yesterday in a interview.
If Sanchez joins Man Utd the word is that he will be earning £500,000 each week with Manchester United. Now obviously that‘s a big question if Alexis is doing this for the money as he earned £140,000 a week at the Emirates.
